A generated ERP training site with an AI tutor
A plain-language, module-by-module guide to how the company actually uses its ERP — generated from verified knowledge, with an AI tutor built in.
Business impactNew and existing staff learn the real process on demand, and the training can't drift out of date because it's rebuilt from verified data.
Role: Designed and built the content pipeline, site, and AI tutor
- modules across 78 sections
- 28
- hand-edited pages — every page is generated
- 0
- from site launch to live AI tutor
- 1 day
The problem
Staff had no readable explanation of how the business runs on its ERP. Vendor manuals describe every option, not the ones the company uses, and hand-written training goes stale the moment a process changes.
How it works
- 01
Verified knowledge in
The same verified knowledge cards that power the AI gateway are the only source, informed by a corpus of 151 vendor training guides.
- 02
Generation pipeline
Pages are rendered from cards, and every statistic is filled from live data at build time, so numbers are current on each build.
- 03
Plain-language guardrail
The build fails if internal system codes leak into pages written for non-technical readers.
- 04
AI tutor
A streaming chat tutor answers questions in context, pulling facts from the governed gateway rather than guessing.
What I built
- The content pipeline, validator, and site with quizzes, progress tracking, and search.
- The streaming AI tutor, including fixes for intermittent hangs: sequential tool calls, a keepalive heartbeat, and a hard deadline.
- Cache busting after finding that site updates could take up to an hour to reach users.
Results
- 28 modules and 78 sections live, with zero internal codes in the rendered pages.
- Site launched in July 2026; the AI tutor went live the next day.
- Complex multi-search tutor answers stream back in about 30 seconds.
What I learned
- Generate documentation from the thing that's verified, and it stays true for free.
- Streaming AI over HTTP needs the same care as any long-lived connection: heartbeats and deadlines, not hope.
